SCC Member School 2021 Winter Sports Spectator Policies

SCC Member Schools Spectator Policies – updated March 15

Spectator decisions are determined by each school district and public health department.

Amity Regional – Two family members for each student-athlete all sports. No visiting fans.

Branford - Two spectators per BHS student athlete for boys/girls basketball and boys ice hockey (at Northford Ice Pavilion). No visiting spectators all sports. 

Cheshire – Two “varsity” home parents only at basketball; No fans at Swimming. Ice Hockey – One parent per home athlete.   No visiting fans all sports.

Daniel Hand – Two spectators (varsity only) per DHHS student-athlete for boys/girls basketball.   One spectator per DHHS student-athlete for boys/girls ice hockey and boys swimming. No spectators for gymnastics and fencing.  No visiting spectators all sports.

East Haven – Two spectators per EHHS "senior" student athletes for boys/girls basketball and boys ice hockey (at Northford Ice Pavilion). No visiting spectators all sports. 

Fairfield Prep - No spectators home or away for basketball, swimming; Ice Hockey – Two parents per home student athlete.  No visiting spectators for ice hockey at Wonderland of Ice.

Guilford – One home spectator per GHS student athlete (includes ice hockey at Bennett Rink).  No visiting spectators all sports.

Hamden – Two parents/guardians per home Hamden HS student athlete all sports. No visiting spectators.

Lyman Hall - One home spectator per “senior athlete” for boys/girls basketball.   Two home spectators per athlete for boys swimming and boys ice hockey.  No visiting spectators.  

Mercy – Three family members per home student athlete for basketball.  No visiting spectators. 

Milford (Foran/Jonathan Law/Lauralton Hall) – Two parents/guardians for home student athlete.   No visiting spectators for all sports (includes ice hockey at Milford Ice Pavilion).

New Haven (Career, Hillhouse, Wilbur Cross) – Two spectators for home student athletes.  No visiting spectators.  Please note: if New Haven teams are playing each other, two spectators per student athlete are allowed for both teams.  

North Haven – Two spectators per home athlete for basketball and swimming. No visiting spectators. Ice Hockey will follow Northford Ice Pavilion’s policy (TBD).

Notre Dame – No spectators home and visiting at swimming.  Two parents per home student athlete at basketball and ice hockey (Bennett Rink). There will two visiting parents per student athlete for ice hockey, and one visiting parent per student athlete for basketball.     FYI - rosters of visiting teams must be sent to Notre Dame's athletic department at least 24 hours prior to a game.

Sacred Heart Academy – Two home spectators for basketball.   No visiting spectators for basketball.   Ice Hockey will follow West Haven’s spectator policy for girls ice hockey.

Sheehan - Two home spectators per student-athlete for boys/girls basketball, boys swimming, cheerleading, and ice hockey.  No visiting spectators.  Passes will be issues and distributed in advance by the Sheehan Athletic Department.

Shelton – Two parent per home athlete for basketball and swimming.  No visiting spectators.

West Haven – Two spectators per athlete home and away for basketball and ice hockey.  Two home spectators per athlete for swimming.    

XavierTwo family members per each XHS student-athlete for basketball and ice hockey. No visiting spectators.
