Seventh Annual SCC Arts Exhibition Prizes Awarded

Grand Opening was March 16 at Creative Arts Workshop in New Haven; Exhibition showcased until March 20

The seventh annual SCC Student Arts Exhibition is being held the week of March 16-20 at the Creative Arts Workshop on Audubon Street in New Haven. The exhibition features 60-plus selections of outstanding student-originated visual arts in a variety of media. Each SCC member school had the opportunity to submit up to three works.

Prizes were awarded by a jury of professional artists and arts administrators coordinated through CAW Program Director Kate Paranteau.

1st Prize: Jillian Salisbury, Hamden (photo collage), $100

2nd Prize: Shadia Silman, Cheshire (charcoal), $75

3rd Prize: Jimima Mbaka, Career (magazine collage), $50

4th Prize: John Galin, Jr., Foran (charcoal), $40

5th Prize: Dmitry Mykhaylosky, Hamden (clay), $35
