(12/09/05) -   Xavier finished as the top-ranked team in all three final state high school football polls. The Falcons (12-0), who captured the SCC Division I West title, defeated Southington, 45-30, in the Class LL championship game.   It is Xavier's first state title since joining the SCC in 1994.   West Haven, the SCC Division I East champion and Class LL semifinalist, and Hand, the Class M champion, also were ranked in the top ten in all three polls.
