The Southern Connecticut Conference was well-represented on the various fall sports All-State Teams, as selected by the Hartford Courant high school sports staff.   A total of 47 student-athletes earned All-State status in the eight fall sports. An additional 28 student-athletes were named to the Second Team or received honorable mention status in their respective sports.

Four SCC student-athletes were named as their respective sport’s Player of the Year, including Xavier’s Amari Spievey (football), Branford’s Caitlyn Buckanavage (field hockey), Guilford’s Jay Koloseus (boys cross country) and Hand’s Kristen Frost (girls swimming).

SCC member-schools fared well in the 2005 fall season. 37 teams qualified for CIAC fall sport playoff competition in field hockey (7), girls soccer (10), boys soccer (10) and girls volleyball (10).  An additional five teams qualified for the football playoffs.  During the fall season, SCC teams won a total of eight state championships. Nine additional teams earned runner-up status in CIAC state competition during the fall campaign. Since the league's inception in 1994, SCC schools have now won 227 state championships.
