SCC Girls Cross Country Championship Meet Returns to East Shore Park

The 2017 SCC Girls Cross Country Championship Meet will be held on Thursday, October 19 at New Haven's East Shore Park.  Cheshire is the defending SCC champion.

1:40 p.m. – Varsity Girls; 2:20 p.m. – Freshman Girls; 3:40 p.m. – Junior Varsity Girls

Cheshire Wins 2016 SCC Girls Cross Country Championship

CHESHIRE - 2016 SCC CHAMPIONS - 4th title for the Rams

There was a new site for the 2016 Southern Connecticut Conference Cross Country Championship Meet.  The SCC championship meet on Thursday, October 20, was held East Shore Park in New Haven due to on-going construction at Hammonasset State Park, where the SCC meet has been held for the last 19 years.

Mercy Captures First-ever SCC Girls Cross Country Title

Mercy captured its first-ever SCC Girls Cross Country Championshipn on October 17 at Hammonasset State Park.

The Tigers (85) finished ahead of Daniel Hand (106), Amity (107) and Branford (116). 

Mercy senior Kaleigh Roberts finished first (18:37).

Guilford captured its third consecutive SCC girls cross country title on Thursday, October 18 at Hammonasset State Park in Madison.  It was the Indians' eighth title in the last nine years.

Guilford Captures 2011 SCC Cross Country Title

Guilford captured the 2011 SCC girls cross country championship, which was held on Thursday, October 20 at Hammonasset State Park in Madison.    Thanks to the Woodbridge Running Company for its sponsorship of the 2011 SCC Championships.

It was the Indians' second straight title, and their seventh in the last eight years.

Hillhouse's Kellie Davis was the girls' individual winner - finished in 19:13.

Guilford Captures 2010 SCC Girls Cross Country Title

Guilford captured the 2010 SCC Girls Cross Country championship, which was held on Thursday, October 21 at Hammonasset State Park in Madison.  It is the Indians' sixth SCC title in the last seven years.

Guilford (45 points) finished ahead of runner-up Hand (66) and third-place Hillhouse (123).   Hand junior Sarah Cotton won the race (18:36.63) followed by Hillhouse sophomore Kellie Davis (18:58.87).
