CHESHIRE WINS 14th CONSECUTIVE SCC TITLE

The 2007 SCC Girls Swimming Championships were held on Thursday, November 1 at the Hutchinson Natatorium on the campus of Southern Connecticut State University.  For the 14th consecutive year, Cheshire emerged victorious - totaling 1,151 points - well ahead of runner-up Amity (596).

CHESHIRE WINS 13th STRAIGHT SCC TITLE

(11-2-06) - For the 13th consecutive year, Cheshire captured the team title at the SCC Girls Swimming championships, which were held at the Bruce Hutchinson Natatorium on the campus of Southern Connecticut State University.  The Rams, under the direction of head coach Ed Aston, have won every team title in the 13-year history of the SCC. The Rams totaled 1,003 points, while Branford finished second with 648 points, followed by Amity (583) and Hamden (483).  Margaux Farrell of Amity, who won two events (100 and 200 freestyle), was named as the meet's Most Outstanding Performer.

CHESHIRE WINS 12th STRAIGHT SCC TITLE

For the 12th consecutive year, Cheshire captured the team title at the Southern Connecticut Conference Girls Swimming championships, which were held on November 3 at the Bruce Hutchinson Natatorium on the campus of Southern Connecticut State University.   The Rams, under the direction of head coach Ed Aston, have won every team title in the 12-year history of the SCC.  Amity finished second with 576 points, followed by Hand (507).  The Tigers were led by behind the performance of senior Kristen Frost.  Frost, the meet's Most Oustanding Performer for the fourth straight year, won two events (100 freestyle and 200 IM) and was a member of the Tigers' victorious 200 and 400 freestyle relay teams.
