Notes: Field Hockey is the 24th SCC sport to host a postseason competition (only football and Division I ice hockey do not have a postseason tournament). There are 11 schools that compete in field hockey in the SCC.

Hand Captures 2009 SCC Regular-Season Title

On November 2, Hand defeated Branford, 5-3, to clinch the SCC regular-season title... The Tigers (10-0) win their third title in last four seasons... There is no SCC postseason tournament in field hockey.

Hand Falls in Class M Final to Wilton, 2-0

Top-seeded Hand fell to second-seeded Wilton, 2-0, in the finals of the Class M state tournament.  It was the Tigers' second straight appearance in the Class M championship game.  Hand finished with 18-1-01 record and did capture the SCC regular-season championship.

2005 RECAP
BRANFORD DEFEATS HAND, 1-0, in ALL-SCC CLASS M FINAL

(11-19) Kristen Auer's first-half  goal was the difference as Branford defeated SCC-rival Hand, 1-0, in the Class M championship game at Cotton Complex in Wethersfield. Branford (19-1) secured its state-record 10th state championship.  In the Class L final, Cheshire fell to Greenwich, 1-0.

In the final Hartford Courant poll (11-23), Branford finished second with 144 points behind Greenwich (180).   Hand (16-3-0-1) was third and Cheshire (13-5-1-1) was seventh.

Hornets earn seventh SCC title

Branford earned its seventh SCC field hockey title by recording an undefeated mark (10-0) in regular-season competiton.
